Key Highlights / Scope of Work

This 95,000 sq. ft. interior fit-out project included the installation of new ductwork and piping associated with newly installed equipment, as well as modifications required for relocated and existing systems. Cox was also responsible for the complete startup process, controls checkout, and testing and balancing (TAB) of all new and existing HVAC equipment. Cox conducted a detailed survey and assessment of all existing HVAC equipment. As a result Cox successfully replaced all water source heat pumps, installed 6 new split AC systems, installed 5 new fan-powered boxes, installed 11 new VAVs, and replaced 6 non-operational fan-powered boxes identified during the survey.

Challenges Faced

During construction, Cox encountered unforeseen conditions with existing equipment not identified in the original building scan. Additionally, the team had to navigate and work around existing ductwork and piping systems that were to remain in place.
